How Much Power Do Your Promotional Products Have

We’re happily back at work with full power after Superstorm Sandy. Our hearts go out to all those who are still affected by the hurricane force winds and water. As we prepared for the storm then hunkered down, I was amazed at how many promotional products we actually used during the hurricane.

I’m pretty sure that most people don’t realize how many products advertising businesses they used during the storm.

First, there was the mad dash to the grocery store to stock up on food and batteries that non-polypropylene tote handled more weight that you could ever imagine, didn’t it? Then when your kids decided they were hungry after playing on the dirty floor with their toys and pets, the hand sanitizer from the local hospital sure came in handy!

Starved for news and wanting to know when your power would be back on, you turned on the battery-operated radio the bank gave you as an incentive gift. Weren’t you glad you kept it and picked up batteries? The cold creeping into the house at night makes you wish you’d bought the generator after last year’s storm. This year you reached for the microfleece blanket a vendor gave you a as a New Year’s gift two years ago and snuggled up toasty warm.

What was the best promotional product you ever received? I’m betting it was the battery-operated flashlight that gave your family more than 120 hours of light off of 3 teeny, tiny AAA batteries. You didn’t stub your toes on the furniture once as you checked in on everyone during the night.

As I used each promotional product, I remembered every business and every person who gave me the item. You can bet that those businesses are at the top of my mind for their services!

Now that is the power of a promotional product!
