Every Successful Promotional Product Project Starts with You
It all begins with your goals and what you have in mind.
On our end, we want to deliver the most creative solution to ensure your project’s success. Creativity doesn’t happen instantly; it requires careful thought and research to find the perfect promotional product. And this process starts with questions.
Openness and transparency are key during this Q&A phase. The more details we can gather, the better. Successful promotional projects happen we’re both open to sharing everything—whether it’s a product you’ve seen, an idea we have, or a tight budget we need to work around.

Our Three Goals for Success
If the promotional item we choose isn’t long-lasting, engaging, and within your budget, it won’t meet our three main goals for success. Think of it this way: if it’s not long-lasting, you’re throwing away marketing dollars. If it’s not engaging, your customers won’t use it or think of you. And if it’s not within your budget, it simply won’t work for you.
Promotional Product Success Questions
Here are some of the key questions we ask and why they matter. Keep these in mind next time we work together!
What type of event is it? That includes anniversaries, tradeshows, employee recognition programs, and so on.
Who is the target audience? That includes things like: What does your audience do for a living? Are they male or female? Adults or younger? Do you want them to use the item at work, at home, on the go, or everywhere?
What’s your timeline? This is a big one. It tells me how fast we need to move, which can impact product choices based on production and shipping times.
How many pieces do you need? Have you seen something you like? Please share! Don’t hold back. If you have a link, picture, or website, send it our way. The more information we have, the easier our collaboration will be.
Does your budget need to include shipping and set-up costs? What’s your budget per piece? This is huge. We never want you to fall in love with a product only to realize it’s out of budget. That’s uncomfortable for you and sets us back in the search process, wasting valuable time.
If you’re not sure about your budget, that’s OK! Here’s an example: If you need 500 pieces and can’t spend more than $2,000, then your per-piece budget is $4. And if shipping costs must be included, we’d adjust that number accordingly.
It’s also fine to give us a range. Maybe you have $1,000 to $4,000 to work with—that helps me find options that fit both ends of your budget. Think of it like buying a car: are you looking for a high-end luxury vehicle, a mid-range option, or something budget-friendly?
Why These Questions Matter
We always have our clients' best interests in mind when researching and presenting promotional product choices. Here’s what asking these questions allows us to do:

· Ensure product safety and quality.
· Identify production timeframes that align with your deadlines.
· Control shipping costs by choosing optimal production locations. For example, we wouldn’t ship ceramic mugs from California to Pennsylvania!
· Confirm that inventory is available.
· Verify imprint sizes to ensure your message is readable.
